The landing platforms of Faren Weyte, an outpost settlment on the jungle moon of Dalebine.

The landing platforms of Faren Weyte, an outpost settlment on the jungle moon of Dalebine.

Faren Weyte is a remote settlement on the Indigo trade route and acts as a service point for freight transport ships. Ships dropping out of space to visit the outpost land on the huge platforms built into the mountain side and are suspended hundreds of meteres above the jungles which cover much of Dalebine. The jungles of Dalebine are known for their huge diversity of alien life, though no sentient races are thought to have evolved there.

Technical details:
Im trying to settle on a system for colouring graphic novel pages that is fast but results in nice looking artwork.
In this picture all elements have a base colour, a darker shade of the same colour for shading and in some cases a third colour for highlights. Once shadows and highlights are done Im using dodge and burn (lightly) to give dimesion to any areas that look flat. This is a simple process of colouring that should allow me to knock out pages fairly quickly down the track. Hopefully it looks pretty good too..

The goat track..

Tasmania’s Midland Highway has been referred to as ‘The Goat Track’ due to it’s sub-standard condition.
